When do cabin owners rent a porta potty?
Cabin owners rent a porta potty during a cabin build or remodel, while a septic system is replaced or inspected, for big lake-weekend gatherings, and on lots with no bathroom yet. A septic replacement can leave a cabin without a working toilet for days, so a unit keeps the place usable.
Monthly rentals bill every 28 days with weekly service. See monthly rentals.
Can the porta potty go near the lake?
A porta potty should sit well back from the shoreline on level, high ground, never on a slope that drains to the water. Keep it away from wells and the septic drain field. Our driver needs a level spot reachable from the road; narrow, wooded lake roads are fine if you send a photo of the approach.
What about lake-road access and service?
Lake-road access for porta potty service needs a lane about 10 feet wide and 12 feet high, no low branches, and a turnaround or a short back-in. Shared private roads work if neighbors know the service truck visits weekly. In spring, load limits can shift service on posted roads.
Lake towns we serve include Cold Spring, Annandale, Paynesville, Alexandria and Brainerd.
