When do I need a hand wash station?
You need a hand wash station whenever food is served, when crews handle concrete, paint, chemicals or animals, and when the rules for your job require one. OSHA's construction rule, 29 CFR 1926.51(f), requires washing facilities where workers apply paints, coatings or other contaminants.
Source: OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51. Farm field work has its own rule: 29 CFR 1928.110 calls for one toilet and one hand washing facility per 20 workers, within a quarter-mile walk. Food vendors at events should also check their county licensing rules.

How many hand wash stations do I need?
Plan 1 hand wash station for every 4 porta potties at an event that serves food, and 1 station per food vendor or prep area. A construction crew of up to 20 needs 1 station when contaminants are handled. Our calculator adds stations automatically when you tick 'food is served'.

How much does a hand wash station rental cost?
A hand wash station usually quotes at $125–$225 for an event weekend and $150–$250 per 28-day cycle on a job site with weekly refill and restock.
Does the hand wash station need a hose or power?
A portable hand wash station needs no hose and no power. Water comes from the onboard tank through a foot pump.
Is the water heated?

Can I add a hand wash station to an existing rental?
You can add a station to any active rental. Call and we add it on the next route to your area.
Who refills the soap and water?
Our driver refills the water and restocks soap and paper towels at every weekly service. Busy events can add a mid-event refill.
