What are Minnesota spring load limits?
Minnesota spring load limits are seasonal weight restrictions on roads that are weak while the ground thaws. MnDOT posts the start and end dates by zone, usually from March into May, and many counties and townships post their own limits on local roads. Heavy trucks must follow them.
Check current dates at MnDOT seasonal load limits. Counties such as Stearns, Benton and Sherburne may post separate limits on county and township roads.
How do load limits affect a porta potty rental?
Load limits can shift a rural porta potty delivery, service visit or pickup by a day while restrictions are posted. Our service trucks run lighter and plan routes around restricted roads, but a farm or township address on a posted road may get a different day. City addresses are rarely affected.
- Book rural spring deliveries a few days ahead.
- Give a paved or main-road drop spot if the lane is soft.
- Expect a call or text if a service day moves.
Where should a unit go during spring thaw?
During spring thaw, place a porta potty on gravel, pavement or packed ground near the road, not on a lawn or field that turns to mud. A truck that sinks can damage your yard and miss service. Move the unit to its summer spot once the ground firms up.
